The Reds have agreed to a one-year contract with right-hander Edinson Volquez.
The deal is worth $1.6 million and includes $50,000 in performance bonuses: $25,000 each for 24 and 28 starts.
Cincinnati offered a multiyear deal to Volquez, who returned from re-constructive elbow surgery last season.
Duchscherer Agrees To Deal With Baltimore
The Orioles and free-agent pitcher Justin Duchscherer have reach an agreement on a one-year contract, according to a source.
The deal, which is pending completion of a physical exam, could pay Duchscherer up to $4.5 million in salary and incentives.
Duchscherer, 33, has a 33-25 record with a 3.13 ERA in eight seasons with Texas and Oakland.
Rockies, Betancourt Agree To Extension
The Rockies and reliever Rafael Betancourt have agreed to terms on a contract extension, according to a source.
The deal will become official when Betancourt undergoes a physical, which will occur when Colorado opens spring training.
Betancourt, who was already signed for $3.77 million for 2011, will earn $4 million in 2012 and could guarantee a salary of $4.25 million if both parties execute an option for 2013.
Rangers Agree To Deal With Dave Bush
The Rangers agreed to terms with free agent right-handed pitcher Dave Bush to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training on Sunday.
ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick reported that if Bush makes the team, he'll earn $1 million in base salary and could earn another $1 million in incentives.
Bush was 8-13 with a 4.54 ERA in 32 games (31 starts) for the Brewers in 2010.
Rangers, Napoli Agree To One-Year Deal
The Rangers and catcher Mike Napoli have agreed to a one-year deal, allowing the two sides to avoid arbitration.
The contract is worth $5.8 million.
Napoli was acquired from the Blue Jays on Tuesday in return for reliever Frank Francisco and cash.
